Read. Write. Ask Questions. Repeat.
If we are not expanding ourselves every chance we get, we are wasting what little time we have on Earth..
…and what a pleasure it is to become here.
Stay Connected.
Say what you mean
in as few words as possible
Influenced by the way a few powerful words can conjure an entire scene in a song, I set out to write a narrative poem about a heartbreak from long ago. I wanted to take the story outside of myself. To observe it from a distance and imagine how it might have, or perhaps should have, unfolded.
Then I wrote another. And another.
What began as an experiment in revisiting the past became a collection of alternate narratives: stories shaped by memory, longing, and the possibilities we construct around what has already happened. The first six of these narrative poems became my debut collection, Alternate Origins.
